Kofuku at Powai, Mumbai – Known for its authentic & contemporary Japanese cuisine.

About the Place-
This is the third outlet which is newly opened at Powai, the other two being at Juhu & Bandra. Kofuku is known for its authentic & contemporary Japanese cuisine. The safety measures of Covid-19 were very well taken care by ensuring temperature of everyone is checked & hands are sanitized on entering the restaurant. The tables are also sanitized frequently.
They have two types of seating arrangements, traditional Japanese seating & the other one was a regular seating arrangement with chair & table. One shouldn’t miss out on the Japanese dine experience . Its gives a private dine in experience along with your loved ones.
The Menu Card is very well designed with a lot of varieties of dishes including veg and non veg. To our surprise they also had Jain dishes prepared on request which was a plus point for us.
The hospitality over here is commendable. They are humble and the welcoming smile will make you feel comfortable instantly. Mr Anand made us comfortable and our experience a memorable one with his knowledge of food dishes and the experience of what Indian customer will love. Superb service by him. He guided us in selecting the best dishes according to our taste. We preferred Veg & Jain dishes.
Here’s what we had-

MOCKTAILS:-

Kofuku special- It was made with Mango, coconut, peach & mint. All the flavours were well balanced. It was chilled & refreshing.

Mango Colada- This mocktail was prepared with the help of Mango Juice, Vanilla Ice cream and Basil. It was thick on consistency. This chilled drink was just perfect to sip along with the food.

APPETIZERS:-

Tofu Teppanyaki Steak-
This was one of the best Tofu dishes we ever had. The tender Tofu slices are grilled on a pan and then served along with sweet teriyaki sauce with sesame and is also chef’s special sauce. It was delicious. Recommended.

Kofuku Special Vegan Roll-
8 pieces of roll made with Asparagus, cucumber, avocado, cream cheese in a spicy sauce rolled in soyabean sheets instead of seaweed sheets. Had spicy Sushi for the first time & totally loved it. The cucumber and cream cheese gives the roll a refreshing touch. Highly recommended

MAINS:-

Balinese Curry- (Jain)
Vegetables like broccoli, zucchini, bell pepper and tofu all were cooked in creamy and spicy yellow coconut curry. If you love spicy then go for this. A must try.

Japanese Curry Rice-
This one’s a simple yet delicious traditional Japanese dish. Its a special Japanese Curry made with curry powder, flour, vegetables, fruits and cooked along with vegetables like carrots, potato, onions and zucchini. It was served along with sticky rice. This one is very delicious and will make you fall in love with this place. I can go again and again to have this without a second thought. Just order this one. Highly Recommended..!!
